Terms of Service
These Terms apply to your use of YouTube Playlist, a tool that measures YouTube playlist length and estimates playlist duration using public data. We do not provide accounts or social features.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and YouTube Playlist.
Read these Terms carefully; if you do not agree, do not use the Service.
For material changes we will provide notice and update the "Last updated" date.
Review the current version regularly so you understand the terms that apply when you use the tool.
If you continue using the Service after updates, you accept the revised Terms; otherwise, you should stop using the Service.
2. The Service
We focus on a single purpose: estimating playlist watch time across playback speeds.
The Service computes estimates based on publicly available YouTube metadata. Results are estimates and may be inaccurate or incomplete.
We may adjust, limit, or interrupt the Service due to quotas, API changes, or maintenance.
Factors outside our control—including changes to YouTube or Google services—may affect functionality without prior notice.
We will try to keep disruptions minimal but cannot guarantee continuous availability.
3. Eligibility
Responsible use starts with age-appropriate access.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
You agree to provide accurate information about your role when such representation is requested.
You remain responsible for ensuring compliance with any policies of your organization.
4. Access and accounts
We currently offer a zero-signup experience.
No account is required at this time. If accounts are added later, you must provide accurate information and safeguard credentials.
You are responsible for your use of the Service and its consequences.
If you share access credentials in the future, you will be liable for all actions taken with them.
Misuse of any future account features may result in suspension or removal.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- Interfere with or bypass our security or rate limits.
- Scrape or harvest at a scale beyond normal user behavior.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service, except where permitted by law.
- Violate or circumvent YouTube/Google terms or access controls.
Do not attempt to falsify traffic, overwhelm the Service, or misrepresent your identity when interacting with us.
Avoid uploading malicious code, attempting to gain unauthorized access, or interfering with other users' results.
Respect rate limits and API quotas that protect both our infrastructure and the upstream platforms we rely on.
We may investigate violations and restrict or terminate access when necessary.
6. YouTube and third-party services
Our tool depends on third-party platforms to surface playlist metadata.
The Service calls YouTube and Google APIs to fetch public information. By submitting links you agree to their terms and policies.
We are not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Respect the usage limits and content guidelines published by those platforms.
7. Intellectual property
We protect the product we are building while respecting your content.
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, design, and branding, are owned by us or our licensors.
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process it solely to provide the Service.
You must not remove proprietary notices or use our branding in a misleading manner.
These rights help us keep the Service operating reliably for everyone.
8. Feedback
We welcome improvements from the community.
If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us the right to use and incorporate them without obligation or compensation.
We may combine your feedback with insights from other users to shape future enhancements.
Do not share third-party confidential information in your submissions.
Providing feedback is optional and does not create confidentiality obligations.
9. Privacy
Transparency around data usage is important to us.
See our Privacy Policy for data processing practices.
The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how long we retain it.
If the policy conflicts with these Terms, the policy governs how we handle personal data.
Using the Service signifies that you acknowledge those practices.
10. Disclaimers
Playlist analytics inevitably carry uncertainty.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
Estimates may be inaccurate; we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.
Use the insights for planning only; do not rely on them for compliance, medical, or safety-critical decisions.
You remain responsible for how you interpret and act on the estimates.
11. Limitation of liability
We can only take responsibility within reasonable bounds.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (USD $0 if the Service is free).
If local consumer-protection law grants you additional rights that conflict with this limitation, those rights continue to apply.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You may be responsible if your conduct harms us or others.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to assume exclusive control of the defense, in which case you will assist us as reasonably requested.
This obligation does not apply where the claim arises solely from our intentional misconduct.
We will promptly notify you of any claim that triggers this obligation where allowed.
13. Suspension and termination
We aim to preserve a stable environment for all users.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, provisions that should reasonably survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
We may retain minimal log data as permitted by the Privacy Policy to secure the Service after your access ends.
Termination does not limit any other remedies available to us at law or in equity.
14. Changes to the Service or Terms
The product will evolve as we improve performance, accuracy, and reliability.
We may update the Service or these Terms to reflect new features, security requirements, or legal obligations.
If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or other reasonable means. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We recommend reviewing this page periodically so you understand the latest version.
If you do not agree with an update, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
To avoid uncertainty, we specify the governing law and venue for disputes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, for the resolution of any dispute arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms.
Nothing in this section limits our ability to seek injunctive or equitable relief in any jurisdiction.
Mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may still apply where they cannot be waived.
